Liked on YouTube: Acoustic Guitar Build – Episode 08 – Making the Fretboard

Last year I built my first acoustic guitar and took still photographs throughout the build process. This year, I decided to build another guitar and video record the process.

In this episode, my neighbor (John Lanning) and I prepare the Macassar Ebony slab of wood that will become the fretboard. We also use a custom jig that I made for adding the required 16-inch radius onto the fretboard. This is an original jig that was made based on a few others I saw online.
