Liked on YouTube: Dallas Rag Guitar Ragtime

The well known Dallas Rag arranged for guitar by Dave Laibman. Not only is he a great interpreter of ragtime music, in his spare time David Laibman is professor of economics in Brooklyn College at the City University of New York. You would think he should have been busy explaining the recent collapses of communism and capitalism – but no – he’s been busy producing even more ragtime guitar, which is great for all us amateur pickers. I hope that the posting of this little clip serves to boost the good professor’s citation index. I got the transcription from the book “Contemporary Ragtime Guitar” by Stefan Grossman and as usual I add a few novel fluffs of my own.
